CONTROVENTO

Steel, alive. A compliant companion.

Can steel be fast, too?

A model, not an evolution

Controvento isn't an evolution of anything already in our range. It's a project born from a clear need: to build our most performance-driven, race-ready steel frame yet.

The name is the manifesto

Controvento goes against the wind, literally and conceptually. It goes against the stereotype of steel as a heavy, nostalgic material reserved for those seeking comfort over performance. It goes against the assumption that only carbon can offer high stiffness and reactivity. It's a steel frame with all the technical and aesthetic hallmarks of a modern race bike.

The technical package

  • 01Columbus ICS tubing, full Columbus
  • 021.5" steerer tube, fully internal cable routing
  • 03Lowered, shortened rear end for greater stiffness and reactivity
  • 04Chainstay sections shaped to increase lateral stiffness, right where power is transferred
  • 05Rear tube curves and bridge design: not aesthetics, but lateral stiffness in service of reactivity
  • 06Seat tube with dedicated notch, to bring the rear end closer and sharpen reactivity
  • 07In-house developed UDH dropout
  • 08Traditional bottom bracket shell (not T47), to keep weight down
  • 09Tyre clearance up to 50mm

Weight comes in around 2 kg — not the lightest in absolute terms, but the result of a declared compromise: staying as light as possible without betraying the material.

From those who've ridden it.

I took it out for an hour on the roads around Albatros and didn't want to give it back. It feels alive under your hands, not cold like the carbon I'm used to.
Jonas B., early rider, July 2026
I thought it was just a beautiful bike to look at. Then I hit the first rough descent and understood what they meant by 'steel that talks back'.
Elena R., early rider, July 2026
I've ridden carbon for years. This is the first bike that made me feel the road instead of shutting it out.
